Sales & Client Experience
- Greet and assist every client in a warm, professional, and welcoming manner, delivering the Porter Lyons standard of service.
- Drive sales across the full Porter Lyons collection, offering personalized recommendations and building genuine client relationships.
- Provide reliable support on the retail floor whenever additional coverage is needed.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain the store's visual, quality, and merchandising standards throughout each shift.
Fulfillment Support
- Aid in processing, packaging, and shipping online orders accurately, on time, and in alignment with brand presentation standards.
- Support order quality control, ensuring the right items ship complete and undamaged.
- Help maintain organized backstock, fulfillment areas, and packaging/supply inventory levels.
- Partner with the Fulfillment + CX Manager as needed, particularly during promotions, launches, and seasonal peaks.
Store Operations & Coverage
- Follow opening and closing procedures on scheduled shifts, keeping the store running smoothly during solo coverage.
- Support inventory accuracy through restocking and periodic counts as needed.
- Communicate client feedback, product needs, and operational issues to the Store Manager and leadership.
Value & Skill Set
- 1+ year of retail, sales, or customer-facing experience preferred, ideally in luxury, fine jewelry, or a boutique environment.
- Reliable and self-directed, with the confidence to run the floor independently on solo shifts.
- High energy, personable, and positive, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong time-management skills.
- Comfortable balancing front-of-house (sales) and back-of-house (fulfillment) responsibilities.
- Experience with Shopify or a similar POS / order-management platform is a plus.
- A genuine passion for fine jewelry, customer experience, and operational excellence.
Work Requirements
- Location: Porter Lyons Flagship Store – French Quarter, New Orleans.
- Schedule: Part-time, primarily Friday-Monday with additional days as needed for coverage and during peak seasons or special events.
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, based on experience.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb ladders and stairs to access inventory and storage areas, lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive motions such as bending, reaching, and grasping.
