Retail Customer Service Associate

Consistently delivers a positive customer experience, utilizing consultative skills to anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. Knowledgeable in print, signs & graphics, and shipping, this role handles orders, pricing, product recommendations, and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Follows instructions of supervisors and assists other team members in performing store functions; assists in training new team members
• Demonstrates consultative behaviors to understand each customer’s individualized needs and recommends appropriate FedEx Office products and services
• Provides expertise in printing, signs and graphics, and shipping; resolves customer problems quickly and to satisfaction
• Takes complex customer orders, provides accurate pricing, and assembles parcels for shipping
• Operates and maintains printing, binding, and related equipment using customer-supplied media
• Processes financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal, including handling cash and making change
• Cleans, repairs, and stocks retail store equipment and supplies; ensures proper display of merchandising materials
• Manages production queue, output, and retail supply; completes tasks based on priority
• Ensures confidentiality of customer data and careful handling of documents and packages
• Completes required financial paperwork and may assist with financial reporting
• Performs multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision; adheres to all company policies and procedures
• Stays current on merchandising materials and takes preemptive action to prevent errors and waste

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• 6+ months of specialized experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
• Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
• Consistent ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees
• Consistent ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members
• Consistent ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
• Consistent ability to function in a fast-paced environment under substantial pressure
• Consistent ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods
• Consistent ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain regular attendance

Pay

Starting pay range: $18.35 - $21.57 per hour. Actual starting pay determined by experience, market level, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
