About the role
The Associate I, Retail Customer Host will greet customers as they enter and exit the store, providing a welcoming first impression and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a warm smile and a genuine greeting.
- Share relevant store information with customers, such as where items are located, discounts, and upcoming events.
- Direct customers to specific areas within the store.
- Manage customer flow during busy times.
- Check customers' receipts to verify purchases and ensure accuracy.
- File appropriate reports with the Risk department.
- Use handheld scanners and devices to monitor transactions and report incidents via Think Risk.
- Show keen observation skills to monitor people and identify suspicious behavior.
- Follow all retail center policies and procedures.
- Work a varied schedule which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed with occasional overtime.
Requirements
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior Retail Store door attendant experience is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to make decisions.
- Basic technology proficiency to use Microsoft, Think Risk, and other technology.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to take initiative.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
- Positive attitude and ability to handle customer inquiries and concerns calmly and professionally.
- Ability to work a varied schedule which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed with occasional overtime.
- Physical abilities to stand for extended periods, especially in busy environments.
