Retail Color Mixer

About the role

The primary responsibility of a Color Mixer Specialist is to prepare and mix paint orders for customers, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction. This role involves working closely with customers to understand their needs, answering questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommending the best solutions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customers' paint orders quickly and accurately
• Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications
• Prepare drawdowns for submission to customers
• Clean, fill, and repair equipment, as needed
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse
• Stock shelves and set up displays
• Clean store equipment
• Load/unload delivery trucks
• Aid in making deliveries, as needed
• Aid customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
• Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with policies and procedures
• Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
• Suggest ways to improve sales

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years
• Legal authorization to work in the country of employment
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. on occasion
• Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends
• Previous experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
• Previous experience selling paint and paint-related products
• Previous experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
• Knowledgeable on products offered and discussion of available options
• Compliance with inventory control procedures
• Compliance with company policies and procedures
