Wage and Schedule

Starting wage at $15.00+/hour, possible with commissions. Schedule is flexible, working between 9:30 a.m. and 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., Sunday. Schedule includes varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a minimum of every other weekend. Average hours per week is 20.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all customers on the sales floor with courtesy and a smile
  • Grow personal sales by hitting minimum goals and following Scheels professional salesmanship standards
  • Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and clearly explain all benefits
  • Engage in conversation with customers and assist them in making buying decisions
  • Demonstrate a passion for products in the store
  • Attend all Scheels product training and all store meetings
  • Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
  • Aid in all other assigned duties

Education and Experience

  • The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-3 months of sales experience

Physical and Lifting Requirements

  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
