Retail Client Advisor - Part Time

Location: Highland Village, Houston, TX.

About the role

As a Part‑Time Client Advisor you will serve as a trusted guide throughout the customer journey, building meaningful relationships through consultative selling, thoughtful design recommendations, and genuine hospitality while contributing to the overall success of the store.

Responsibilities

• Deliver elevated hospitality and customer experience by welcoming every customer with warmth, authenticity, and genuine hospitality; create memorable shopping experiences through attentive listening and personalized recommendations; and provide in‑store, virtual, and in‑home design consultations.
• Build lasting customer relationships through proactive clienteling, follow‑up, and education on Boll & Branch products, materials, craftsmanship, and sleep solutions.
• Achieve and exceed individual sales goals while supporting overall store performance; identify opportunities to expand sales through product education, cross‑selling, and personalized recommendations.
• Participate in community‑driven initiatives such as store events, designer partnerships, and other activities that strengthen local brand presence.
• Maintain visual excellence and operational standards by keeping the store guest‑ready, executing visual merchandising direction, handling opening and closing procedures, cash handling, register reconciliation, and general housekeeping tasks.
• Uphold company safety, security, and loss‑prevention procedures while protecting store assets and inventory.
• Support design and in‑home services by participating in appointments and installations, offering thoughtful product recommendations, and ensuring each consultation reflects elevated hospitality and attention to detail.
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail sales experience, preferably in specialty, luxury, home furnishings, hospitality, or another customer‑focused environment (equivalent experience considered).
• Passion for hospitality and creating meaningful customer relationships.
• Experience with consultative selling, clienteling, or delivering personalized customer service.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude with the ability to build rapport and engage customers naturally.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Sheets), POS systems, and other retail technology.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lb, climb ladders or step stools, and perform in‑home services (with or without reasonable accommodation).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this role is $19 to $22 (new hires are typically placed between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on qualifications, internal equity, and budget). In addition to the base pay, there is an opportunity to earn a monthly‑based bonus tied to store performance.
