RETAIL CLERK (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

About the role

The Retail Clerk obtains or receives merchandise, totals bills, accepts payment and makes change for customers in a retail store. The position supports Morrison Healthcare’s mission to nourish patients, caregivers, and communities while upholding high standards of quality and excellence in every meal served.

Schedule

Full‑time and part‑time schedules are available. Days and hours may vary, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Pay

$18.00 – $30.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves, counters, and tables with merchandise.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to promote sales.
• Stamp, mark, or tag prices on merchandise.
• Obtain merchandise requested by customers or receive merchandise selected by customers.
• Answer customers’ questions about location, price, and use of merchandise.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service‑oriented manner.
• Wrap and bag merchandise.
• Total merchandise price and tax to determine final bill amount.
• Accept payment and make change.
• Remove and record cash in the register at the end of the shift.
• Keep records of sales, prepare inventory, and order merchandise.
• Comply with sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; perform job safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
