Retail Clerk

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley is located in the renowned Deer Valley ski resort, approximately 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. The hotel is part of a new development featuring 17 ski lifts, 1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with 1,350 rooms, 250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the world’s largest “ski beaches.” The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley itself offers 381 rooms, including 22 suites, 25,900 square feet of indoor meeting space, a lobby-level 3-meal restaurant and bar, a signature bar, pool/après ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, outdoor event terrace, pool, 3 whirlpools, kids club, and fitness area. Additionally, there are 55 condominium residences on-site.

About the role

The Retail Clerk delivers an exceptional guest experience in our retail outlet, ensuring the space and inventory are neatly organized and attractively displayed. This role involves selling products, making recommendations, and serving as the final point of contact to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of guest service in the retail outlet.
• Independently maintain a neatly organized and attractively displayed retail space and inventory.
• Sell products and make personalized recommendations to guests.
• Deliver guest satisfaction as the final point of contact for the retail experience.

Requirements

• A genuine desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must have current Alcohol server certification and/or food service permit as required by local or state government agency (if applicable).
• Food service and/or other certifications as required by local or state regulations.
