Retail/Catering Lead

University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking a Retail & Catering Lead to work in a synergistic and educational environment, providing customer service and related activities in campus catering operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Dining Services staff in the setup, preparation, and service of catering, student center food court operations, and all other Dining Services locations.
• Plan daily operations based on priorities, communicating with management, staff, and customers to ensure operational standards.
• Direct the setup, delivery of service, and breakdown of service.
• Monitor dining areas and serving lines for proper appearance.
• Evaluate quality of service to guests and recommend changes to Assistant Director of Dining Services.
• Troubleshoot dining and kitchen concerns, such as food shortages and timeliness of food deliveries.
• Provide direction and leadership to team members.
• Maintain proper sanitation standards.
• Adapt quickly and effectively to daily changes in business needs, including guest count fluctuations, menu substitutions, staffing needs, and customer requests.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in managing food service operations.
• Ability to work some nights and weekends.
