About the role

MERS Goodwill is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Organizer. The ideal candidate will have experience in community development, social justice, and organizing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to engage and mobilize community members on various issues.
• Facilitate community meetings and workshops to address local needs and concerns.
• Collaborate with local organizations to build coalitions and partnerships.
• Assist in fundraising efforts to support community projects and initiatives.
• Document and report on community engagement activities and outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Policy, or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in community organizing or similar field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with grant writing and fundraising.

Qualifications

• Passion for social justice and community empowerment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Pay
