Qualifications

• No degree is required; High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Necessary math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Make customers a priority by greeting and acknowledging them as they enter the store, helping on the sales floor, and answering the phone within three rings with a professional greeting.
• Operate the store cash register: handle cash, credit card transactions, apply appropriate discounts, process returns, and balance the cash register.
• Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain the cleanliness of the entire store area efficiently and to standard.
• Request assistance from managers for returns, exchanges, and customer complaints.
• Uphold store cleanliness standards by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership; work cross-functionally with other teams to increase communication.
• Utilize safe work practices through awareness and observation.
• Contribute to ensuring the workplace is hazard-free by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and designated walkways debris-free.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
• Safeguard agency assets, including cash, donated items, and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft; report any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets.
• Adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Pay

Hourly rate: $15.50. Bonus potential: up to $250/month.
