As part of Wells Fargo Auto, the Auto Relationship Manager will cultivate and maintain relationships with medium to large, complex, and/or high-producing auto dealer accounts within the assigned market territory. This role develops and executes strategy, proposals, and initiatives to generate additional revenues by optimizing business opportunities. The manager assesses dealer needs to ensure satisfaction, understands profitability and risk of ongoing relationships, and implements procedures to improve relationships while maintaining profitability. Additionally, the role is responsible for securing money owed to WF Auto (e.g., booksheet discrepancies, rebatables) and assists in resolving customer-generated complaints through the LOB or Enterprise complaints office. Ensures processes within the market territory support corporate objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with medium to large, complex, and high-producing auto dealer accounts within the assigned market territory.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the territory.
  • Manage auto applications, loan volume, and overall stability of the credit portfolio of assigned auto dealerships.
  • Establish and maintain dealer relationships.
  • Terminate non-performing dealers.
  • Resolve complex situations while exercising independent judgment and adhering to policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with all levels of internal and external customers, interfacing with all levels of management.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Retail Auto Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Skills

  • Strong prospecting, sales, negotiation, and influence skills.
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships.
  • Ability to participate in the development and implementation of sales and service goals to meet organizational and customer objectives.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Auto finance experience.
  • Previous experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce.
  • Experience with Tableau.

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel and reside in the assigned territory.
  • Travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled.
  • Flexibility to address incidents as needed.
  • 100% remote work only available in the Beaverton/Portland Metro area through Salem. Candidate must reside in close proximity to the market of support and is required to be in the field.
  • Sales territory includes Salem, Beaverton, Corvallis, McMinnville, and Wilsonville, Oregon. Requires travel within the assigned territory.
