Retail Attendant

About the role

The Retail Attendant prepares and serves coffee, food and bakery products to all guests using exceptional customer service interaction skills and full knowledge of the food production and specialty coffee production processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves coffee, food and bakery products to guests.
• Effectively performs multiple job tasks with attention to detail and a keen awareness of customer needs and perception.
• Performs coffee recipe production, food recipe production, and bakery selection knowledge.
• Handles cash transactions accurately and quickly.
• Maintains personal hygiene and ensures work area sanitation.
• Strives to exceed customer expectations and assist with various food-related department tasks.
• Assists with new employee training and ongoing education initiatives as required.

Requirements

• Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and other shifts as needed.
• Two (2) years experience in a high-volume direct customer interaction setting preferred.
• Basic arithmetic functions preferred.
• Verbal ability to read and understand written instructions, recipes, and labels preferred.
• Basic working knowledge of cash handling/cash register preferred.
• Ability to meet and communicate with public, staff, and peers in a professional manner preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or Certificate preferred.
