Responsibilities

  • Prioritize safety by practicing safe behaviors and maintaining a secure shopping environment for customers and associates.
  • Treat all customers and associates with respect, courtesy, and professionalism; participate in company recognition programs.
  • Assist customers with register transactions, merchandise inquiries, and general questions in a polite and knowledgeable manner.
  • Greet customers with eye contact, a smile, and a friendly demeanor; ensure prompt and efficient responses to customer service needs.
  • Maintain store cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, replenishing restroom supplies, and disinfecting high-touch areas.
  • Adhere to the company dress code and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Perform daily sizing and recovery tasks to ensure a neat, organized, and efficiently merchandised store.
  • Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor, merchandising items according to company guidelines and maintaining brand familiarity.
  • Understand and follow the Loss Prevention Awareness program, including merchandise protection standards and shortage prevention.
  • Demonstrate integrity and honesty in all interactions, safeguarding confidential information, cash, and credit card details.
  • Follow Mark-Out-of-Stock (MOS) policies, including proper identification, processing, and disposal of MOS merchandise.
  • Handle cash, check, charge card, and refund transactions accurately and efficiently, following all company procedures.
  • Maximize productivity by executing store best practices and minimizing unnecessary steps in workflows.

Requirements

  • Effectively communicate with customers, associates, and store leadership in a friendly, respectful, and cooperative manner.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
  • Ability to work full-time hours.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to use store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time.
  • Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
  • Occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds.
  • Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
  • For stockroom shifts: Ability to regularly push, pull, and lift more than 20 pounds.
