Responsibilities
- Prioritize safety by practicing safe behaviors and maintaining a secure shopping environment for customers and associates.
- Greet all customers with eye contact, a smile, and a friendly demeanor; assist customers with merchandise and answer questions knowledgeably.
- Handle customer service issues courteously and promptly, escalating to leadership when necessary.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the company dress code.
- Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and replenishing restroom supplies to uphold store standards.
- Conduct daily sizing and recovery tasks to ensure a neat, organized, and efficiently merchandised store.
- Expedite the movement of newly received merchandise to the sales floor, following company best practices for presentation.
- Understand and adhere to the Loss Prevention Awareness program and merchandise protection standards.
- Follow all policies for cash, check, charge card, and refund transactions, ensuring accuracy and security.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and maximize productivity by executing store best practices.
- Support the company’s brand and values in all interactions with customers and associates.
- Follow Mark-Out-of-Stock (MOS) policies, including proper identification, processing, and disposal of merchandise.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with customers, associates, and leadership.
- Basic mathematical skills commonly used in retail environments.
- Ability to work full-time hours, including standing, walking, and moving around the store for up to 100% of working time.
- Ability to regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
- Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds.
- Ability to use store equipment such as PDTs, registers, PCs, janitorial tools, rolling racks, and ladders.
- For stockroom shifts: Ability to regularly push, pull, and lift more than 20 pounds.
