As a Retail Associate, you will ensure our stores maintain a fun, treasure-hunt atmosphere while providing high-quality brands and on-trend merchandise at extraordinary savings. Responsibilities

  • Prioritize safety by practicing safe behaviors and maintaining a secure shopping environment for customers and associates.
  • Greet all customers with eye contact, a smile, and a friendly demeanor; assist customers with merchandise and answer questions knowledgeably.
  • Handle customer service issues courteously and promptly, escalating to leadership when necessary.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the company dress code.
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and replenishing restroom supplies to uphold store standards.
  • Conduct daily sizing and recovery tasks to ensure a neat, organized, and efficiently merchandised store.
  • Expedite the movement of newly received merchandise to the sales floor, following company best practices for presentation.
  • Understand and adhere to the Loss Prevention Awareness program and merchandise protection standards.
  • Follow all policies for cash, check, charge card, and refund transactions, ensuring accuracy and security.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and maximize productivity by executing store best practices.
  • Support the company’s brand and values in all interactions with customers and associates.
  • Follow Mark-Out-of-Stock (MOS) policies, including proper identification, processing, and disposal of merchandise.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with customers, associates, and leadership.
  • Basic mathematical skills commonly used in retail environments.
  • Ability to work full-time hours, including standing, walking, and moving around the store for up to 100% of working time.
  • Ability to regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
  • Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds.
  • Ability to use store equipment such as PDTs, registers, PCs, janitorial tools, rolling racks, and ladders.
  • For stockroom shifts: Ability to regularly push, pull, and lift more than 20 pounds.
