RETAIL ASSOCIATE FOR HOLIDAY

About the role

TJX Companies is a Fortune 100 off-price retailer operating brands including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Homesense, Sierra, Winners, and TK Maxx. This position is for a store associate at the Burnham, PA location (Store 1680, 325 West Freedom Ave S 327) to work mid-day shifts stocking the sales floor. Shifts vary; weekend availability is required for at least two weekends per month. Current day-side schedule is 9:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m., all days of the week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, embodying customer experience principles and philosophy, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
• Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
• Cross-train to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.
• Role model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases/returns and count change back to customer according to established operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Retail customer experience preferred.

Pay

Starting pay range: USD $13.25 to $13.75 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Schedule

Day-side shift: 9:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m., all days of the week. Weekend availability required for at least two weekends per month. Shifts vary.
