Retail Assistant Store Manager - Savage X Fenty (South Shore Plaza - Braintree, MA)

Savage Retail is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our South Shore Plaza location in Braintree, MA. This role reports directly to the Store Manager and plays a key part in driving store performance and team development while shaping the brand’s retail presence and customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Uphold an inclusive store culture that reflects brand values, fostering engaged store associates and outstanding customer experiences.
• Fulfill Manager on Duty responsibilities, including opening/closing procedures, bank deposits, productivity during downtime, cleanliness, and maintaining a welcoming sales floor.
• Achieve KPI targets, budgets, and objectives by cultivating a culture of accountability for individual and overall performance.
• Maintain all safety and security standards; identify and communicate potential issues.
• Engage customers by providing knowledge on product fabrics, features, fit, and function.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager on recruiting, hiring, and onboarding dynamic store employees aligned with brand philosophy.
• Coach and develop the store team to deliver an exceptional customer experience centered around the brand’s service model.
• Develop and enforce operational systems for product handling, storage, inventory management, shipping, and policy compliance.
• Ensure accountability for day-to-day operational procedures, financial targets, and company policy standards.
• Drive the store’s customer service strategy to deliver a best-in-class omni shopping experience focused on inclusivity, innovation, and community outreach.
• Oversee the care and maintenance of in-store technology.
• Support training for Store Associates to actively engage customers in meaningful ways.
• Delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of operations and customer service.
• Provide and incorporate feedback from all levels of the organization to continuously improve business operations.
• Uphold visual merchandising and styling standards to align with the brand experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, stockroom, and common areas.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on business or operational needs.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in a high-volume retail environment, with 2-3 years of direct leadership experience.
• Flexible and reliable schedule; availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
• High degree of comfort with ambiguity and ability to take initiative when opportunities arise.
• Proven ability to identify, nurture, and develop talent in a fast-paced, ever-changing retail environment.
• Self-directed and highly motivated to take ownership of tasks and drive solutions.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Familiarity with retail inventory and POS systems.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and work well under pressure.
• Physical ability to constantly move, talk, hear, reach, grab, and stand for at least two consecutive hours; may involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
• Tech-savvy or very comfortable with emerging technologies.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
