About the role

We are currently looking for the right Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Team! The position offers a competitive hourly wage range of $18.47 to $20.47 per hour, along with an easily achievable commission structure that can add up to an additional $5.67 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
• Maintain and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers or Sales and Loan Associates to ensure their development meets the prescribed FirstCash standards.
• Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
• Perform management-level opening and closing procedures, including counting cash drawers, merchandise, and ensuring all procedures are followed to protect assets.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
• Administer processes and procedures within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise-level reporting.
• Independently handle pawn, buy, and retail transactions, evaluating store financial statements and driving profitability.
• Monitor loan qualification and buy processes to ensure value and integrity of all loans issued.
• Communicate clearly to employees to ensure they understand the store mission and profit objectives.
• Remain up to date on product knowledge and conduct inventory transfers and make remote bank deposits.
• Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager, performing assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 18 years of age (WA only: Minimum 21 years of age)
• Valid driver's license
• Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others
• Entrepreneurial spirit
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and work with people; team-oriented
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Cash handling experience required
• High energy sales personality with knowledge of jewelry and general merchandise
• Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
• Solid written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent work ethic and strong business sense
• Computer literate and able to use common office machines
• Ability to become certified to work with firearms, as well as become a listed Responsible Person for a Federal Firearms License with the ATF, as needed

Qualifications

• Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this role.
• Physical demands include standing frequently, sitting occasionally, bending frequently, reaching frequently, walking frequently, climbing occasionally, kneeling occasionally, lifting up to 50 pounds continuously, and using power tools occasionally.

Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $5.67 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Schedule

Assistant Store Managers will work 40+ hours a week, with hours based on the needs of the business.
