About the role

We are currently looking for the right Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Team! The position offers a competitive hourly wage range of $22.56 to $24.56 per hour, with an easily achievable commission structure that can add an additional $6.47 per hour to your earnings.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers or Sales and Loan Associates so their development meets the prescribed FirstCash standards.
  • Recruit top talent, sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels.
  • Perform management-level opening and closing procedures, including but not limited to, counting cash drawers, merchandise and ensuring all procedures are followed to ensure protection of assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation and securing customer loans.
  • Administer processes and procedures within the store, which include inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise-level reporting.
  • Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure that operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buy processes to ensure value and integrity of all loans issued.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
  • Communicate clearly to employees to ensure that they understand store mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up to date on product knowledge.
  • Conduct inventory transfers and make remote bank deposits.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of Store Manager.

Qualifications

  • Given the critical nature of this role to our business operations, regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this role.
  • A High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 18 years of age (WA ONLY: Minimum 21 years of age).
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit.
  • A strong desire to work, serve customers and work with people, team-oriented.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cash handling experience required.
  • A high energy sales personality with knowledge of jewelry and general merchandise.
  • A detailed oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • An excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
  • Computer literate and able to use common office machines.
  • Able to become certified to work with firearms, as well as become a listed Responsible Person for a Federal Firearms License with the ATF, as needed.
