Retail Assistant Store Manager - 2853

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management or 3rd key experience to join our team. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead store operations, develop employees, and drive financial performance.

Pay

$18.00 to $21.00 per hour, plus commission up to 8% on transactions (averaging an additional $5.72 per hour). Assistant Store Managers also earn bonuses based on store performance.

Schedule

• Most stores open at 9AM and close at 6PM; many are closed on Sundays.
• Flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
• 40+ hours per week (hours vary based on business needs).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing their needs promptly.
• Train and develop Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards.
• Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
• Open and close the store, including cash drawer and merchandise counts, and ensure asset protection procedures are followed.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, and securing customer loans.
• Administer store processes, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, and enterprise-level reporting.
• Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through goal setting and communication.
• Maintain operating standards that meet or exceed FirstCash requirements.
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity.
• Complete assigned training and development tasks.
• Communicate store mission and profit objectives clearly to employees.
• Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
• Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of six months of management or 3rd key experience.
• Ability to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Willingness and ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise others effectively.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Willingness to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and a retail schedule based on business needs.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Cash handling experience required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
