We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management or third-key experience. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead store operations, develop employees, and drive financial performance in a customer-centric environment.

Pay

$17.00 to $21.00 per hour, plus commission and bonuses. Assistant Store Managers can earn 2-8% commission on the gross profit of their personal performance, potentially adding up to an additional $1.00 per hour on top of the hourly rate. Actual pay is based on work location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
  • Train and develop Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards.
  • Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring asset protection procedures are followed.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer store processes, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, and enterprise-level reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
  • Communicate store mission and profit objectives clearly to employees.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of six months of management or third-key experience.
  • Ability to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise others effectively.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
  • Willingness to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
  • Minimum age: 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays; 40+ hours per week based on business needs.
  • Computer literate with ability to operate Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Cash handling experience required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
