Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembler to perform a variety of tasks associated with the rebuilding and assembly of Gas End compressors. This position is responsible for ensuring all parts fit correctly, meet quality standards, and are suitable for the final product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, and rebuild Gas End compressors using a combination of new and reusable parts.
  • Read, understand, and follow method sheets, assembly diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Identify quality defects and unsafe conditions.
  • Follow all applicable safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Interpret print drawings to determine dimensions, design specifications, and required materials.
  • Safely operate pneumatic, power, and hand tools required to perform job duties.
  • Use measuring devices such as tape measures, levels, and other inspection tools.
  • Maintain and inspect tools and equipment and create work orders for necessary repairs.
  • Load and unload materials using conveyors, carts, forklifts, hoists, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members and support other departments as needed.
  • Suggest process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with material replenishment and receiving activities.
  • Assemble components and subassemblies by examining connections for proper fit and fastening parts securely.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties within the work area.
  • Complete production-related tasks, including but not limited to pipe bending, sledging, operating presses, hanging and unhanging parts, and conducting quality inspections and tests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Fully trained and qualified to train others on multiple products in accordance with the company training matrix.
  • Ability to participate in 5 Why root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for process and product-related issues.
