Performance Responsibilities
- Provides teacher support by providing student supervision for students who have exhibited disruptive behaviors that interfere with teaching and learning in the classroom
- Maintains confidentiality of information gained through the performance and location of the position
- Works closely with all teachers for the success of the students
- Maintains discipline and order
- May confer with parents on the progress of students as directed by the supervisor
- Utilizes data to determine need-based decisions
- Counsels and documents student observations
- Provides input for support/safety plans
- Supports students, who are assigned to the Restorative Resource room for exclusionary discipline
- Assists in the implementation and observance of all Board policies and regulations by the school's staff and students
- Serves as a member of such committees and attends such meetings as directed by the Building Principal, and/or Superintendent
- Assumes responsibility for the implementation and observance of all Board policies and regulations by the school's staff and students and complies with policy, procedures, regulations, and law
Evaluation
- The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluations
Essential Functions Of The Job
- Exhibits excellent communication skills with students, parents, staff, and the community
- Must be able to follow directives, as outlined
- Exhibit initiative and leadership skills
- Must be punctual in all activities and responsibilities of the position
- Must adhere to all district policies and procedures
- Must be able to lift, push, or carry up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to attend all supervision and school extracurricular activities outside the school day, as designated by the building principal
Terms of Employment
185 total days, current instructor salary schedule.
