Restoration Superintendent - Construction

Responsible for day-to-day oversight of all assigned restoration, reconstruction, and capital improvement projects, including vendor selection, materials procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance. Works closely with occupants and property owners to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Field Management
  • Follows scope and notifies Project Director of discrepancies.
  • Ensures all work is contracted/subcontracted.
  • Obtains building permits as required and follows all government guidelines for each permit and project.
  • Adheres to all OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Assists with change order amounts when requested.
  • Manages subcontractors to verify they are supplying adequate resources to meet contract requirements.
  • Secures project resources in the most cost-effective manner and ensures they are on site at the appropriate time.
  • Manages bid-buy out with trade partners.
  • Ensures project work meets the highest standards of workmanship based on industry standards.
  • Directly supervises BluSky personnel on projects as required.
  • Adheres to all company Best Practices.
  • Provides the highest level of customer service.
  • Performs all other duties or projects as assigned.
• Office Management
  • Executes proper subcontractor agreements per company guidelines.
  • Ensures all subcontractors are working under a subcontract agreement.
  • Approves or rejects invoices as appropriate, with proper communication with the Project Accountant.
  • Develops and updates project schedules.
  • Updates and provides schedules to Project Director and Profit Center Leader weekly.
  • Directs, mentors, and trains junior-level team members.
  • Represents BluSky emergency mitigation on-call management rotation.
• Profitability Management
  • Meets or exceeds billing, revenue, and profit margin goals as defined by BluSky.
  • Secures bids to obtain fair pricing on jobs within two weeks of assignment per Best Practices.
  • Completes buy-out worksheet and updates weekly.
  • Tracks change orders and all extras on projects via signed change order form and budget updates.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of residential and commercial construction, general contracting, and/or restoration experience preferred.
• 3+ years of project management experience preferred.
• Ability to travel in response to both emergency and non-emergency losses across the nation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, internal and external contacts throughout the project management process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Schedule

• Occasional travel out of state (less than 25% of the time).
• Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for training or meetings.

Pay

• Base Salary Range: $55,000–$90,000
• Commission OTE Range: $30,000–$60,000
