Responsibilities
- Communicate with operations daily on projects to ensure smooth execution.
- Keep customers and insurance adjusters updated on all project activities.
- Adhere to all company protocols, project and safety policies, and accounting procedures; ensure service quality meets the company’s highest standards.
- Set project budgets to ensure profitability and manage projects from beginning to end.
- Perform project buy-outs, set draw schedules with subs and vendors, pull permits, and ensure all necessary paperwork is in the project file.
- Develop a Site Safety Plan and ensure compliance by Field Supervisors and labor.
- Keep clients and adjusters informed to promote good customer service.
- Ensure job files contain properly signed contracts and required forms depending on the type of job.
- Process files on a timely basis to ensure accurate accounting.
- Complete/draft Project Management Reviews daily for job files.
- Conduct Safety Toolbox meetings and participate in safety investigations to minimize risk.
- Provide feedback (positive or negative) to Operations and Production Managers regarding individual jobs as needed.
- Maintain open communication and constant networking with adjusters, the insurance community, and any assigned target business.
- Uphold the highest integrity to ensure the “Cotton” image is viewed positively.
- Meet the needs and requests of clients and adjusters, including conflict resolution.
- Evaluate performance of operational staff and manage changes of scope.
- Understand workflow procedures and systems.
Requirements
- Heavy restoration project knowledge (required).
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification (a plus).
- Understanding of workflow procedures and systems.
- Knowledge of the insurance industry (a plus).
- Experience in mitigation, remediation, structural drying, abatement, HVAC cleaning/duct cleaning, air cleaning/air quality testing, air purification setup, and fire damage restoration.
- Computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships.
- Good driving record:
- Minimum of 21 years of age with at least 3 years of verifiable driving experience.
- No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- No repeat seat belt violations.
- No high-speed moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to drive a vehicle for the majority of the workday (to and from appointments and office).
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods (to complete paperwork or manage a job in the field).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a smoky environment.
- Ability to travel throughout the United States (and potentially beyond) for periods of time to chase, consult, market, secure business, and satisfy project needs.
- Willingness to work an on-call schedule, which may require late evenings, early mornings, weekends, and long extended hours with little notice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
