Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers as they enter the store
  • Take customer orders and provide helpful suggestions based on their preferences
  • Ensure that customers have an enjoyable and satisfying experience
  • Address any customer questions or concerns with professionalism and courtesy
  • Prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other menu items according to Subway's standards
  • Handle ingredients (meats, vegetables, sauces, etc.) and follow food safety protocols for storage and handling
  • Toast sandwiches, prepare hot meals, and ensure proper portion sizes
  • Maintain quality and presentation of food items
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process customer transactions (cash, credit, or mobile payments)
  • Accurately handle cash and provide correct change
  • Absolutely balance the cash register and perform end-of-shift cash counting
  • Keep the store clean and organized, including the dining area, restrooms, and kitchen
  • Perform regular cleaning tasks, such as wiping down counters, sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash bins
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for both customers and staff
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations
  • Absolutely assist with the training of new team members as needed
  • Absolutely support team efforts during busy periods and ensure the store runs efficiently
  • Restock ingredients, supplies, and other items as necessary
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages to management
  • Absolutely ensure that all ingredients and materials are stored properly to maintain freshness and safety
  • Help with opening and closing the store, which may include setting up or breaking down equipment, cleaning, and securing the store
