Responsibilities

  • Monitor servers, runners, and other restaurant associates and ensure adherence to all service standards and SOPs.
  • Inspect staff for correct, clean, complete uniform, clean polished shoes, name tag and general appearance standards.
  • Serve as a supervisor during the absence of the manager, ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant.
  • Assist in establishing and monitoring side-work duty completion.
  • Read and prepare daily communication sheets from previous shifts and check for personnel call-offs and floor plan coverage.
  • Check the restaurant for cleanliness, set up service stands and aisle areas, and ensure tables are properly set up.
  • Communicate with the restaurant manager regarding special events, house counts, and other relevant matters.
  • Aid in conducting menu classes and taste panels as directed by the manager.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • One to two years of employment in a related position with this company or other organizations.
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession, including management of people and/or complex problems and food and beverage management.
  • Excellent oral communication skills for communicating with guests and associates, issuing instructions, and interpreting policies.
  • Excellent comprehension and interpretation skills for handling guest and associate matters.
  • Physical abilities to lift, push, pull, and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs., bend to pick up dropped items, and stand for extended periods while moving around the restaurant.

Qualifications

  • Must have excellent vision for tasks such as seating guests, expediting food, cleaning equipment, and reading floor plans, charts, and schedules.
