Restaurant Shift Supervisor - Kelowna Airport (Year-round)

Pay: $22.50 – $26.50 per hour

About the role

SSP Canada operates several restaurants throughout Kelowna International Airport, including White Spot, Tim Hortons, Subway, and retail stores. This position is located in a secure airport environment and requires a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC). Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada and able to provide government-issued documentation for airport security clearance in accordance with Transport Canada regulations. Responsibilities

• Support the Management Team in ensuring service standards are consistently achieved by the team.
• Prioritize guest satisfaction as the top focus.
• Maintain brand operational standards, including daily completion of restaurant checklists and cleaning schedules.
• Act as a training buddy to coach team members through the induction process, ensuring comprehensive orientation and adherence to brand standards.
• Communicate and clarify job duties, priorities, and expectations to team members.
• Provide support, direction, and encouragement to help the team meet business goals.
• Establish and communicate performance standards; monitor and document team member performance through observations and discussions.
• Assist team members in developing skills and abilities for improved performance.
• Oversee cash handling duties.

Requirements

• Minimum of 12 months of experience in a busy restaurant or hotel environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and interact with team members.
• Ability to read, interpret, and clearly articulate instructions.
• Experience working in a fast-paced food service environment as part of a team.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Cash handling experience required.
• Serving it Right certificate required.
• Liquor serving experience and knowledge.
