Restaurant Server (Part-Time)

Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head is seeking Part-Time Servers to join our team. This role is at the forefront of resident interaction with the community’s dining program, spanning daily restaurant and bar operations, catering, and special events. The ideal candidate exercises good judgment, exceptional problem-solving skills, and maintains positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment while delivering the Latitude Margaritaville Lifestyle.

Responsibilities

• Prepare restaurant for lunch/dining by setting decorations, condiments, napkins, and utensils.
• Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Explain chef’s specialties, identify appropriate wines, and answer food preparation questions.
• Stay updated on current menu choices, specials, and menu deviations; communicate item availability to residents.
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen, recording resident choices, dietary needs, and special requests.
• Serve orders by delivering food and beverages from bar and kitchen; provide accompaniments and condiments.
• Respond to additional resident needs by observing dining process and addressing requests.
• Maintain table settings by removing completed courses, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and addressing spills.
• Properly open and pour wine at tableside.
• Obtain revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payment, and returning credit card slips to residents.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Fill in for absent staff as needed.
• Assist with special events.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
• Address customer service issues promptly and escalate to management when necessary.

• Maintain high-level resident contact throughout service hours.
• Build strong, effective teams through supervision, training, coaching, and leadership.

• Ensure compliance with company, local, state, and federal safety rules.
• Maintain a pristine dining area at all times.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED preferred.
• Previous serving experience required.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Positive interpersonal skills.
• Food Handlers Card.
• Good telephone speaking and listening ability.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.
• Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits.
• Strong communication (listening, verbal, and written), organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and common sense.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.

Pay

$8.00 an hour plus tips.

Schedule

• Evening and weekend availability required.
• Open availability required.
