About the role

The Grand Gardner Hotel is an independent boutique property in Downtown Valparaiso, IN, scheduled to open in Q2 2026. It offers 58 rooms and suites, a speakeasy, banquet space, boutique spa, and shared spaces designed for teamwork and growth.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional dining experience through attentive service, expert menu knowledge, and a warm, professional demeanor.
• Guide guests through culinary offerings, take accurate food and beverage orders, and ensure timely service that aligns with boutique standards.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of ingredients and preparation methods to address dietary restrictions and provide pairing suggestions.
• Manage station side work, process payments via the POS system, and collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• A thorough understanding of the "S.E.A.C." method of service.
• Proficiency with POS software.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift, carry service trays weighing up to 50 pounds, and move quickly in a high-pressure environment.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and previous experience in a full-service or boutique hotel restaurant.
