About the role

Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resorts and Spa is seeking a new team member in various food and beverage outlets including Tarpon House Restaurant, Charley's Cabana Bar, Cove Pool Bar, Princess Cruise, and Courtside Steakhouse Restaurant. Shifts include breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with weekend and holiday work required.

Responsibilities

• Greets, sells/takes orders, and serves guests in compliance with policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Processes guest checks and collects payments in accordance with cash handling, credit card transactions, room charge processing, and accounting policies and procedures.
• Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items, and safety hazards to management.
• Reports any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards, and regulations to management.
• Complies with all guest service basics such as uniforms, name tags, and proper guest greetings.
• Knows about hotel facilities and services to assist guests as appropriate.
• Ensures all communication containing Company, hotel, brand, and guest information is consistent with privacy policies, practices, and regulations.
• Impresses guests with quality and timely service in a pleasant and friendly manner.

Requirements

• Candidates must have a work permit and proper paperwork to be employed in the USA.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required.
• Prior server experience is a plus.
• Successful TIPs training and the ability to use the micros system are required.
