Job Description

Restaurant Server at Neiman Marcus serves customers in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner. Key responsibilities include:

• Serves assigned seating section of dining area
• Provides detailed information about menu items to customers
• Leverages knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits
• Interacts graciously with the public and handles multiple duties simultaneously
• Participates in daily pre-shift meetings
• Adheres to established accounting procedures for all transactions
• Executes pre-shift, post-shift, and daily and weekly duties as assigned by supervisor
• Fulfills duties that may involve lifting objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.)
• Cleans and maintains restaurant and workstation
• Maintains high hygiene standards

Qualifications

Requirements for this position include:

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in serving food and beverage and following proper table service guidelines
• Thorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of table settings
• Thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
• "Win together" mentality
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Salary and Other Benefits

The salary range for this position is $19.16 - $23.95 per hour, depending on location and experience. Benefits include:
