The Restaurant Server plays a key role in delivering warm, attentive service that reflects our commitment to hospitality excellence. You'll take food and beverage orders, serve guests, and ensure a memorable dining experience while maintaining the restaurant area and equipment.

Responsibilities
- Take food and beverage orders from patrons, memorize or enter them into computers, and transmit them to kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages to guests, including preparing or serving specialty dishes as required.
- Check with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
- Collect payments, prepare itemized checks including meal costs and sales taxes, and process transactions.
- Check patrons' identification to ensure compliance with minimum age requirements for alcoholic beverages.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations upon request.
- Prepare tables for meals, including setting linens, silverware, and glassware.
- Clean tables, counters, and dining areas after patrons finish dining.
- Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, tidying server stations, taking out trash, and maintaining restrooms.
- Prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks; chill wine bottles; and describe or recommend wines to customers.
- Stock service areas with supplies like coffee, food, tableware, and linens.
- Roll silverware, set up food stations, and prepare dining areas for the next shift or large parties.
- Inform customers of daily specials and explain menu item preparation, ingredients, and cooking methods.
- Remove dishes and glasses from tables and take them to the kitchen for cleaning.
- Assist hosts by answering phones for reservations or to-go orders, greeting, seating, and thanking guests.
- Bring wine selections to tables with appropriate glasses and pour wines for customers.
- Perform food preparation duties such as preparing salads, appetizers, cold dishes, portioning desserts, and brewing coffee.
- Escort customers to their tables and garnish/decorate dishes before serving.
- Fill salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiment, and napkin containers.
- Provide guests with local area information, including directions.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent work experience.
- Good understanding of the English language and previous guest/customer relations experience.
- Certification in liquor, wine, and food service preferred.
- Must be TIPS, CARE (or equivalent) certified, or obtain certification by the first day on the job.
- Ability to use property management systems, computers, and point-of-sale systems.
