Responsibilities
- Cook up daily operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house restaurant operations and schedules.
- Oversee dining areas, bar, and seasonal outside seating.
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise front-of-house (FOH) service staff.
- Share scheduling duties with the Assistant Manager.
- Manage budgets on monthly revenues, control operational costs, optimize labor, track overhead, and suggest ways to reduce waste.
- Maximize customer satisfaction, check-in with customers, balance seating capacities, and resolve guest complaints with professional hospitality.
- Regularly review product quality, research new vendors, and oversee inventory tracking and ordering cycles.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and restaurant sanitation regulations.
- Responsible for pull tabs and tap wall management.
- Responsible for operating the golf simulators when no golf staff is available.
- Recommend localized ways to reach a broader audience, including social media ads and seasonal discounts.
- Report to the Resort’s Food & Beverage Manager / General Manager.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of dedicated bar or restaurant management experience is required.
- A candidate with 5 consecutive years in a food service or managerial role is preferred.
- A hospitality, resort, or golf club background is highly valued.
- The North Star manager must not wear jeans, open-toed shoes, or a hat.
- Proficiency with restaurant management systems (e.g., Silverware POS, Toast or similar), employee scheduling software, and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for team leadership and guest relations are essential.
- This restaurant is a lively dynamic family-friendly setting that caters to crowds of golfers and hockey teams. We want someone who loves to have fun!
- Must be willing to work Sundays and a flexible 5-shift schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays according to resort demands. (Either Friday or Saturday off.)
