Restaurant Manager - Chaz on the Plaza

About the role

Chaz on the Plaza (part of The Raphael Hotel) is seeking a dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee staff management, guest services, operations, and inventory control. The role focuses on improving sales revenues, maintaining high-quality food standards, developing the team, and fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct outlet management of Chaz Restaurant during high-volume periods, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Oversee the preparation and service of all hotel food and beverages.
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in all food and beverage areas while maintaining records for Marriott audits and local health department reviews.
• Partner with the Executive Chef on menu creation, banquet events, wine dinners, and other assignments.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor in all guest and associate interactions.

Requirements

• At least 4-5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, preferably with a 2-year college degree.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office operating systems.
• ServSafe and AllerTrain certificates are preferred.
• Extensive experience in restaurant, beverage, and culinary arts.
• Ability to work well in high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity.
• Familiarity with hotel operations and the function of each department.
• Experience with forecasting, budgeting, labor management, and purchasing to maximize productivity.
• Knowledge of local competition and industry trends.
