About the role

Each Café Lola location Manager must provide strategic direction for their restaurant. Managers are responsible for maintaining operations, driving results through staff development, sales and profit maximization, and ensuring the restaurant delivers the ultimate guest experience. The Manager must hire, train, and develop Team Members and Leads who share Café Lola’s values and culture, convey this culture to the crew, and lead by example with exceptional work ethic and dedication.

Responsibilities

  • Team Management:
    • Lead the team in personal image and professional behavior while upholding company standards.
    • Maintain staffing levels, coordinate recruitment with the Director of Operations and RH Marketing team, and make final hiring and separation decisions.
    • Oversee orientation, training, and implementation of the Café Lola training program.
    • Conduct Team Member one-on-ones, manage disciplinary actions, and track accrued points and notes.
    • Create and approve schedules, balancing availability, payroll, overtime, and expected sales volumes.
    • Monitor daily staffing levels and implement early outs to maintain labor percentage targets.
    • Foster a "work hard, have fun" environment, promote team performance, culture, and motivation.
    • Implement the Café Lola recognition program and cultivate an environment of respect, recognition, and reward.
    • Ensure a safe environment for Team Members and guests.
  • Daily Operations Oversight:
    • Execute a complete understanding of The Book of Lola to provide an elevated guest experience with industry-leading service.
    • Ensure the highest quality, preparation, and presentation of all food and beverage products.
    • Adhere to all food and beverage menu matrices and training videos.
    • Maintain impeccable FOH and BOH environments, including cleanliness, equipment, décor, and signage.
    • Coordinate repairs and maintenance with the Director of Operations.
    • Use company-provided tools to coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
    • Communicate company policies, product, and service updates via the pre-shift board and ensure Team Members acknowledge them.
    • Partner with the Director of Operations to meet company standards for risk, HR, IT, and vendor management.
    • Ensure all restaurant areas comply with Southern Nevada Health Department Standards.
  • Guest Focused:
    • Lead a guest-focused team, ensuring all business decisions prioritize the guest experience.
    • Oversee guest recovery and manage customer complaints, refires, voids, and comps.
    • Act as a brand ambassador, building pride and commitment around company initiatives.
    • Motivate the team to deliver exceptional guest service while following guest service steps.
    • Actively seek feedback from guests and crew to ensure operations remain guest-focused.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (College degree preferred).
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of previous food service, retail, or restaurant management experience.
  • Proficient in technology systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), POS systems, and ability to adapt to new systems quickly.
  • Ability to lift and carry, push or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds; kneel, bend, stoop, ascend/descend stairs, and reach/grasp objects.
  • Training experience is a plus.
  • Takes initiative with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Health Department Standards.
  • Skills in people management, including recruiting and scheduling.
  • Acts as a brand ambassador both in and outside the restaurant.
