Restaurant Leader

Starting from $68,000 annually plus a monthly training incentive of $1,500. Pay is based on location, experience, and qualifications. Monthly incentives after training vary and are based on restaurant profitability.

About the Role

The Restaurant Leader is responsible for the strategic direction of their restaurant, maintaining operations standards, and driving results through people development, sales, and profit growth. This role teaches, models, and upholds Raising Cane’s culture standards for all crewmembers, customers, and partners. The physical work environment includes a fast-paced kitchen (requiring extended periods of walking, standing, lifting, and bending), customer interaction, and work in varied temperatures. Responsibilities involve handling food products, common allergens, industrial equipment, and commercial cleaning products with appropriate personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall financial success of the restaurant, including forecasting and budgeting.
• Maintain restaurant compliance with company standards, policies, and laws.
• Hire and terminate management-level crewmembers, including status changes and payroll processing.
• Create crewmember work and training schedules.
• Develop management-level crewmembers, including performance management.
• Act as manager on duty, opening and closing the restaurant, and managing cash handling.
• Monitor profit and loss statements and execute strategies for financial and operational performance.
• Enforce Raising Cane’s policies and standards.
• Use required tools, forms, and logs to support shift execution and document results.
• Deploy crewmembers during shifts and provide exemplary customer service.
• Utilize reward and recognition programs for crewmembers.
• Authorize employee functions requiring manager approval (e.g., discounts, timeclock overrides).
• Ensure cleanliness of the restaurant and maintain facility operations.
• Achieve and maintain training restaurant status.
• Meet or exceed performance metrics in crewmember and operations areas.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple changing priorities.
• Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
• Skilled in problem recognition, goal setting, and action planning.
• Able to measure performance objectively and subjectively with high emotional intelligence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and adaptable to new technology systems.
• Able to work varied shifts (days, evenings, weekends) and travel as needed for work-related functions.
• Manage public dealings professionally and act as a brand ambassador.
• 5+ years of restaurant or retail management experience.
• New restaurant opening and local marketing experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
