About the role

LaPlaya's beautiful Private Beach Club restaurant is looking for a passionate Restaurant General Manager with an outgoing personality, who wants to elevate the dining experience while creating memories for members, to lead the team. If you have a minimum of three years of upscale dining management experience and a desire to be part of a team rooted in our core values of Make Things Better and Happy to Help, we are interested in speaking with you about this exciting career opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure members receive the highest level of service and satisfaction, including managing the dining experience, addressing member complaints, and ensuring staff are attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and supervise staff, including servers, hosts, and kitchen personnel. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training to maintain service standards.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the Club's restaurant operations budget, including forecasting sales, controlling costs, and analyzing financial reports. Ensure profitability by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Operational Efficiency: Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth functioning, including managing reservations, coordinating with the kitchen, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Vendor and Inventory Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality ingredients and supplies. Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary to maintain stock without over-ordering.
  • Promotion: Work cross-functionally with the Club Sales and Marketing Team and Culinary to promote member events, wine tastings, and seasonal menus. Organize special events, wine tastings, or seasonal menus.
  • Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve conflicts among staff or between staff and customers to maintain a positive work environment and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Quality Control: Regularly inspect the dining area, kitchen, and restrooms to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health standards. Ensure food presentation and quality meet the restaurant's high standards.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in fine dining Restaurant Management.
  • Attend and participate in in-services as required by federal, state, and company requirements.
  • Ability to communicate with guests and resolve issues in an expedient manner.
  • Detail-oriented to ensure the restaurant and team meet the standards of excellence expected by guests.
  • Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, work long hours as needed, and lift up to 25 pounds.
