Restaurant Cashier (Luckies Kitchen) - Part-Time - Virginia

About the role

Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments, issuing receipts, and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and good knowledge of how cash registers operate.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register to cash out guests.
• Answer phone, greet customers, and keep track of seat availability in restaurants.
• Assist with bussing and cleaning tables.
• Perform assigned duties in an interruptive environment under frequent time pressures.
• Work to ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills

• Ability to use cash register systems.
• Read and follow basic instructions.
• Use a telephone; hear and speak clearly.
• Knowledge of alcohol awareness.
• Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of food.
• Strong work ethic.
• High energy.
• Attention to detail.
• Basic math and computer skills.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One (1) year of restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Virginia Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live’s operating standards.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk continually throughout a scheduled shift.
• Bend, stoop and reach.
• Carry trash bags weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Use of stairs and elevators.
