About the role
As a Bartender at Hollywood Casino St. Louis, you will provide fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests and beverage servers. You’ll serve as an ambassador of goodwill, promote casino events, and deliver personalized service while adhering to established guidelines and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines.
- Serve as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions; appear in publicity photos.
- Promote casino events and programs.
- Provide personalized service and use guest names.
- Resolve service problems according to guidelines.
- Prepare and pour drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe, communicate with beverage servers, and present drinks to guests or servers as required (e.g., 2-minute or less production cycle for 15-drink tray).
- Slice and pit fruit as required.
- Operate and maintain all equipment and utensils in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.
- Operate a cash register/POS system, ring proper amounts, provide correct change, and account for all cash, charge, and complimentary sales while maintaining financial control integrity.
- Collaborate effectively with beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisors, and slots supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Able to read, write legibly, understand, and speak English.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to count money and make change correctly.
- Knowledge of cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniques.
- Available to work required schedule, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
- Physically mobile with reasonable accommodation, including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Able to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance in varying work areas, including confined spaces.
- Able to respond to visual and oral cues.
- Able to work in constricting areas and tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights, and fast-paced, often crowded/noisy environments.

Pay
$7.50 per hour plus tips (up to $20 per hour). Total compensation up to $27.00 per hour.
