About the role
The Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant Manager to oversee the operations of the Mara Restaurant and Bar Mara. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring guest satisfaction and maintaining high standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Mara Restaurant & Bar Mara to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
- Daily activities and planning for outlet operation, including managing reservations, seating patterns, and turnover.
- Provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
- Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment.
- Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.
- Observe the physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
- Develop and maintain an elegantly appointed environment with superior staff dedicated to providing our guests with an attentive and distinctive experience.
Requirements
- A college degree specializing in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent experience is required.
- One to two years previous experience in assistant manager or department head position in Food & Beverage.
- Working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.
- Ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
- Eight-to-ten-hour shifts; scheduled days and work hours may vary based on need.
Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications include a college degree specializing in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in assistant manager or department head position in Food & Beverage.
- Working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures.

Pay
$65,000-70,000 annually.
Schedule
Eight-to-ten-hour shifts; scheduled days and work hours may vary based on need.
