Restaurant Assistant Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create schedules and manage payroll for home restaurant
• Provide on-the-job training for new team members
• Increase overall knowledge and expertise for all team members by continual and consistent training
• Provide coaching to employees as appropriate
• Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant by hosting, bussing, bartending, expediting, and serving as needed
• Stay up to date with the procedures/menus/etc. in other restaurant in order to fill in there as needed
• Motivate and inspire team members by creating value and contagious energy
• Aid Restaurant Manager with fine-tuning systems to enhance guests’ experience and create consistency
• Update POS system when needed
• Fill out daily reports/bank deposit/cash drawer
• Assist with monthly inventory and weekly ordering as needed
• Review daily checklists and maintenance schedules
• Report any equipment maintenance or replacement needs
• Ensure all food safety and sanitation protocols are strictly followed
• Attend meetings as needed

Skills/Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in a restaurant setting with proven leadership experience
• Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, passion for hospitality, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, confident decision-making, trainer of service technique and customer satisfaction skills, knowledge of cuisine, wine, beer, and liquor, food safety certification and bartending license, positive attitude, great time management skills, flexibility in time
