What You'll Do

As the Assistant Manager, you will assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations and supervising service staff when the Restaurant Manager is unavailable. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, organize, and supervise front-of-house service personnel to ensure outstanding guest experiences.
  • Support restaurant operations while maintaining food service quality, service standards, and labor cost goals.
  • Cook and serve meals to guests.
  • Coach and hold team members accountable for following the approved service cycle and hospitality standards.
  • Ensure all daily side work and assigned duties are completed accurately and on time.
  • Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system effectively and perform functions necessary to support restaurant operations.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Ensure restaurant policies, procedures, and safety standards are followed consistently.

Qualifications

  • Required:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of food service industry experience.
  • Knowledge of food preparation, restaurant service, and bar operations.
  • Experience with POS systems and basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification required within 60 days of hire.
  • Food Handler Certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Preferred: CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
  • Spanish-speaking ability.

Physical and Work Environment

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a positive, professional attitude under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and move throughout the restaurant, kitchen, bar, and community facilities.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, including kitchen heat, refrigerated areas, and outdoor conditions.
