Responsible Pharmacist (Thursday-Monday - Part Time)

About the role

We are looking to hire a driven and ambitious junior or senior level pharmacist to join our team in Verda Park, Wallingford. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to challenge themselves in a fast-paced environment and manage pharmacy objectives in line with company growth and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Follow our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operational guidelines
• Maintaining compliance with our practice standards
• Helping the Superintendent Pharmacist to develop, implement and maintain Pharmacy procedures and processes
• Working with the Head of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Manager to help run the Pharmacy
• Deputising for the Pharmacy Manager in their absence
• Checking dispensed prescriptions and sending out orders via our couriers
• Managing the Pharmacy near misses and creating action plans
• Working with the Risk and Safety team to root cause and resolve incidents
• Proactively with Service and other internal teams to ensure orders are dispatched in a timely manner
• Proactive problem-solving and innovation, contributing towards service development and patient experience
• Working with the Pharmacy Manager to train and develop the Pharmacy workforce
• Working with the compounding team to supply medicines
• Working with the Pharmacy Manager and Supply Chain team to manage inventory

Requirements

Registered with the pharmacy regulator (GPhC)

Demonstrate high levels of professional expertise

A passion for pharmacy and providing the best care for our customers

Ability to work collaboratively with a team-centred approach

Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations and provisions of national and local services

Role model communication skills; you will hold excellent face to face interactions to effectively meet the varied needs of customers and patients in pharmacy

This role is part time, for either 2 (15 hours) or 3 (22.5 hours) days per week, across from Thursday - Monday, or compressed hours from Thursday to Sunday.
