Response Security Officer

GardaWorld Security Services is seeking a Surveillance Security Officer with sharp observation skills and attention to detail to monitor security systems and detect threats in environments such as security operations centers, call centers, and parking gatehouses.

About the role

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will spot threats before they escalate, document incidents, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with law enforcement when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and verify the identities of visitors
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Collaborate with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to pass an extensive screening process
• Strong report writing skills
• Sharp visual acuity and exceptional concentration skills
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid driver’s license
• Availability to work holidays
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Iowa security license (GardaWorld will assist and cover costs)

Preferred experience: Security, Military, or Law Enforcement.

Pay

$18.36 per hour

Schedule

Full-time, Wednesday through Sunday, 3rd Shift (11 p.m. to 7 a.m.)
