About the Role

The Respiratory Therapy Technician provides essential respiratory care, supporting patient treatment and departmental operations in a rural hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments and tests as prescribed by physicians
• Supervise and deliver direct patient care across all age groups
• Monitor patient responses and accurately document care activities
• Maintain and ensure proper functioning of respiratory equipment
• Support departmental operations and adhere to professional standards
• Maintain inventory of supplies and comply with policies
• Participate in hospital committees and ongoing education
• Ensure confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program
• State licensure in Nebraska
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
• Ability to work under pressure, with a stable personality
• Knowledge of confidentiality laws like HIPAA

Physical & Work Environment

Ability to move patients and work within hospital working hours, including weekends and call-back shifts.
