Respiratory Therapy Tech (PRN)

What You'll Do

• Provide a range of respiratory services including inhaled medication therapy, chest physiotherapy, oxygen therapy, PEP therapy, CPAP therapy, and BIPAP therapy.
• Absorb and implement physician’s orders and the child’s care plan.
• Assist with care of artificial airways.
• Maintain accurate, completed, and timely records as defined by respiratory therapy standards of practice and ChildServe policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively, respectfully, and professionally with children, physicians, families, school personnel, ChildServe staff, and others to ensure assigned child’s care needs are assessed, communicated, and met.

What You'll Need

• Current enrollment in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, one year of coursework completed.
• Current BLS certification or willingness to obtain.
• PALS certification encouraged.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
• Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

About the Role

As a Respiratory Therapy Tech with us, you will provide professional respiratory therapy services to children under a licensed respiratory therapist within the framework of physicians' orders, care team guidelines, and care plans.

Schedule

Varied shifts available that can work around class schedule. Day and overnight opportunities available.
