Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and support for pulmonary programs across multiple skilled nursing facilities.
  • Conduct respiratory therapy audits, including documentation, compliance, and clinical workflows.
  • Develop, implement, and enhance pulmonary care programs and quality initiatives.
  • Monitor quality metrics, including: Hospitalizations, Resident outcomes, Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), Pulmonary program scorecards.
  • Collaborate with Regional Directors of Operations and facility leadership.
  • Train, mentor, and support Pulmonary Program Coordinators (PPCs).
  • Conduct orientation and onboarding for newly hired PPCs.
  • Lead weekly meetings with assigned PPCs to review performance, goals, and compliance.
  • Ensure pulmonary dashboards, PDPM documentation, and program data remain accurate and current.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating annual Pulmonary Program Coordinator educational events.
  • Support regulatory compliance, CMS standards, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Active Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Ohio.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply with an active Ohio license.
  • Experienced therapists with 3-5+ years of respiratory therapy experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute care is preferred.
  • Ledgership, staff education, program management, or quality improvement experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory modalities, PDPM, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing or managing pulmonary programs within skilled nursing facilities.
  • Background in staff education, clinical auditing, and quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of CMS regulations and respiratory care best practices in post-acute settings.
