Respiratory Therapist - Ventilator Services

Responsibilities

• Participate in therapy procedures, in-service education, tracheotomy and ventilator management and weaning
• Interdisciplinary care with both core and ancillary staff
• Completion of therapist's duties for general population and home care as needed
• Perform any and all duties of the respiratory care program as required
• Adhere to Policy and Procedure
• Adhere to work schedule
• Assist in emergency coverage when needed
• Consult with family members, physicians, and other health care professionals as appropriate
• Take an active role in in-service education of employees and the community
• Absorb and provide updates consistently to supervisor for changes and patient status
• Participate in checking for safety, care, and cleaning of equipment and maintenance of the department
