Respiratory Therapist - Spokane, WA
About the role
This role offers a unique blend of clinical autonomy, meaningful patient interaction, and supportive team collaboration. It combines time spent in the branch and in the field, developing both patient-facing clinical skills and strong workflow independence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow-ups
- Provide patient education and caregiver training on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Absess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams
- Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop
- Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation
- Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operating condition
- Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry, and gather vital signs
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active Washington RT license
- Valid driver's license
- Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers)
- Hold a current CPR Certification
- Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice
Skills
- Strong clinical skills

Pay
$35.00–$45.00 per hour. Compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education, and location.
Schedule
Hybrid-style role: ~60% in the branch, ~40% in the field
